Hawaii

Aside from the previously mentioned travel destinations, we made a tour of Hawaii. This was a special trip in that we had joining us on this trip Nancy's Parents (Dale and Barbara) and Dale's Aunt Neola and her husband, Ralph, both in the 80's.

Most of Hawaii trip was a 10-day organized Tauck Tour of the islands of Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. To that we added our own three-day tour of the big island, Hawaii.

We all gathered at our home in Starkville and flew from the Golden Triangle Airport just east of Starkville to Dallas, then on to LA and from there to Honolulu. Our hotel on Oahu was the pink one right on Waikiki beach, Royal Hawaii. Aside from all of the schedule events, we swam in the ocean near the hotel and took Dale snorkeling near Diamond Head. Kauai is as beautiful as any of the islands. We stayed in the Emerald Hotel there, it was the most upscale hotel we stayed in, an absolutely gorgeous hotel.
